JIT Payment Portal – The goal of the JIT system is to facilitate timely and rule-based payment to the farmers against the crops sold under the MSP scheme. The JIT portal facilitates the transportation of labor charges, commission, warehouse, loading, unloading, handling, and other charges to the society/procurement centers and transporters to the transporters in a rule-based manner.

What does JIT mean?

JIT Portal has been created to make online payments to the farmers at the right time. JIT means just in time. This simply means that online payment of the crops sold by the farmers on the support price at the right time. Through JIT Portal only, payment related to purchasing of wheat, paddy, jowar, gram, lentil, and mustard is being done online.
This time the process of payment of gram, lentil, and mustard is being done online through the JIT portal.

How does JIT Portal work?

JIT Portal does all the payment of purchase centers like institution commission/labor charge/institution commission and online payment/loading/unloading/handling/godown commission to farmers on time and prompt payment. As soon as the grain is received from the farmer to the institution, the EPO (Electronic Payment Order) is sent to the institution through JIT Portal for online payment to the farmer after acceptance from the procurement center in the grain godown. On which Digital Signature has to be done by the in-charge of the organization. After that this EPO is sent to the bank for online payment. Where the amount is transferred to the respective accounts by the online software of the bank. This process is completely online.

In order to do a digital signature, a digital signature token is required. Digital Signature Certificate needs to be uploaded on JIT Payment Portal before doing digital signature on EPO.

How to upload Digital Signature Certificate on JIT Payment Portal?

Follow the steps given below to upload the digital signature.

• To upload the Digital Signature Certificate, first, attach the Digital Signature Token to the USB port of the laptop/computer.
• Install Digital Signature Token Manager on laptop/computer.
• Then open Digital Signature Token Manager.
• Then click on the Login button and enter a password.
• Select User Certificate.
• Save the digital certificate on the desktop by clicking on the Export button.
• Login to JIT Payment Portal.
• Then click on DSC Mgmt in Main Menu.
• Click on “Functionaries Authorized for e-Payment by Office and their DSCs” in the Registration Menu.
• Then select Authorized for e-Payment Office.
• And now click on “Register DSC of Functionaries Authorized for e-Payment
• Orders” in the Registration Menu.
• In Choose file, select the imported digital certificate on the desktop.
• Click on “Get Details”.
• Now Autofill information of digital certificate will appear
• Check all the information carefully.
• Now click on “Updated DSC File”.
• Now a popup will appear on the computer screen of Digital Certificate has been uploaded successfully.

Important Notice:

Upload the Digital Certificate only once, for each E.P.O. No need to upload a digital certificate every time, if any new digital certificate has not been uploaded earlier and the validity of DSC has been extended, upload it only in such case.

How to check the payment status of wheat sold on support price?

JIT Payment Status – To know the status of payment of farmers for wheat sold on government weighing forks through E Uparjan Portal, visit JIT Portal http://jit.nic.in/Default.aspx or http://jitpayments.nic. Click in /.
Then to check farmer payment status –

• “Check Payment Status Through Bank Account Number”
• “Check Payment Status Through Kisan Code”

• If you have clicked on the status of payment through your bank account, then a new window will open in front of you.
• Now select the earning year.
• Choose Kharif or Rabi season.
• Enter the bank account number of the farmer.
• Enter the code shown on the side.
• And click on “Check Payment Status”.

Now you will see all the information about the payment of the amount of the crop sold by the farmer such as farmer code, farmer’s name, farmer’s account number, payment date, and payment status.

• If you have clicked on the status of payment through your bank account, then a new window will open in front of you.
• Now select the earning year.
• Choose Kharif or Rabi season.
• Enter the farmer code of the farmer.
• Enter the code shown on the side.
• And click on “Check Payment Status”.

Now you will see all the information about the payment of the amount of the crop sold by the farmer such as farmer code, farmer’s name, farmer’s account number, payment date, and payment status.

How to do digital sign on farmer’s EPO issued for wheat payment?

To digitally sign on the EPO issued for the payment of wheat sold by the farmer on the support price, follow the procedure given below-

• First of all, open the Mozilla Firefox browser on your computer. (Mozilla Firefox Browser 49.0.1 Version is mandatory for signing ePO in Jit portal, the process of downloading is given below)
• Login to JIT Portal.
• Click on Farmer E-Payment Mgnt System in the menu.
• Click on Lock e-PO in the E-Payment Orders menu.
• Click on Lock.
• A popup message will be asked “Do you want to lock this e-payment”, then click on OK.
• Now the message “Payment Order has been Locked Successfully” will come. Click OK.
• Now click on Digitally Sign e-PO in the Sign ePO menu.
• To sign EPO digitally, click on the button below “Sign EPO”.
• You will get a popup message to select the digital signing officer on Farmer Payment ePO.
• Now select Digitally Sign EPO Officer.
• Click on “Allow”.
• Again click on Java “Allow Now”.
• To run Digital Signer, checkmark “I accept the risk and want to run this application” and click on Run.
• Select Digital Certificate and click on OK.
• Enter Digital Certificate Pin and click on Login
• Now the message of EPO File Signed Successfully will come and EPO has been successfully signed.
• Click on “Save DCS Signed File for Bank Processing” for Bank Processing Digitally Signed File.
• EPO Digital Sign is done successfully.
• Now click on “View / Print Digitally Signed ePO” in the Sign EPO menu to view and print the EPO.
• Click on the “eye” button.
• Now Digitally Signed ePO will open in front of you. Take a printout of it.
