Like the rest of the states of India, various schemes have been started for the welfare, cleanliness and education of girls and women. Similarly, in the state of Gujarat also, the Government of Gujarat has started the Gujarat Vahali Dikri Yojana. The scheme was announced on August 2, 2019 in Rajkot. Under this scheme, a budget of about 133 crores has been prepared to benefit the girls. According to this scheme, financial assistance is provided for the good future of the girl child.

Main Objectives of Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana 2022

The basic objective of this scheme is to increase the birth rate of girls. This is possible only when the illusion is eliminated among the people that girls are a burden on them because most of the people have this mentality that girls will not earn them anything but will make them spend. Under this thinking, they kill the girl child before she is born. The purpose of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the people on the birth of girls so that they do not take steps like feticide. The objective of this scheme is to promote women empowerment and adolescent education.

This scheme is completely launched by the central government. Whatever funding is there, it is being given by the central government. The scheme is intended to benefit around 1,10,000 beneficiaries. Whatever benefit will be provided to the beneficiaries, it will be directly deposited in their bank account.

Benefits of Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojna 2022

When the girl child will be in the first class, then the financial amount of ₹ 4000 will be provided by the state government.
When the girl child will reach the ninth standard, then a financial amount of ₹ 6000 will be provided to her under this scheme.
On attaining the age of 18 years, the benefit of up to ₹ 100000 will be given to the girl.
Girls who are doing higher education will also be given a benefit of up to ₹ 100000.
Financial amount up to ₹ 100000 will also be provided to the married girls. It will be provided only to girls whose name is registered under this scheme.
Girls belonging to all classes will get the benefit of this scheme, there is no reservation in this. It is necessary to register for this scheme.

Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojna 2022 Eligibility

The girl child and the girl child’s family should be a native of Gujarat, Only the families belonging to the state of Gujarat can avail the benefit of this scheme.
People from other states cannot take advantage of this scheme.
Any family who wants to enroll their girl child under this scheme, their annual income should not exceed two lakhs.
It is mandatory for the applicant to have his own bank account.
Under this scheme, only the first born girl child in the family will be given the benefit of this scheme.
The other girl child of the family will not get any benefit under this scheme.
Only the girl child of those families will get the benefit of this scheme those who have registered their girl child’s name under this scheme.

Registration Process for Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojna 2022

If anyone wants to apply under this scheme, then both online and offline registration process is available for the applicant.

Offline Registration Process

First of all, the application form will have to be taken from the regional department, then after filling all the information in that form, it will have to be given to the district officer for verification.
After verification, a list of beneficiaries will be prepared.
Those people whose verification will be done correctly, those people will get a place in this list and they will become eligible to take benefits under this scheme.
